Benidorm Beatles fundraiser

Friday 8 June 2018

On Tuesday 12 June, a team of five are setting off on a 1,400 mile driving challenge to Spain in a car named ‘Rita’.

Ady, Charlie, Chris, Dean and Lou are taking on the Benidorm or Bust Car Rally in no ordinary car as former-limousine, Rita, has been lovingly converted into a  yellow submarine, complete with a bubble machine on the roof!

Starting in West Sussex, the ‘Benidorm Beatles’ will drive through Calais, Rouen, Biarritz and Madrid, before arriving in Benidorm on 16 June.

Caroline Roberts-Quigley, Community Fundraiser at Chestnut Tree House said: “We are incredibly grateful to Ady, Charlie, Chris, Dean and Lou for taking on this unusual challenge to raise money for us. We need to raise £6,850 every day to pay for all the specialist care services provided by Chestnut Tree House – both at the hospice and in families’ own homes – so support like this is invaluable. The ‘Benidorm Beatles’ and ‘Rita’ are certainly putting the ‘fun’ in fundraising!”

The team have set themselves a target of £10,000 and are already over half way there. Find out more about their journey and fundraising here.
