Young Peoples Area

These four bedrooms and the lounge have been designed to accommodate the particular needs and lifestyles of the young people we support.

We recognise that they need their own space, facilities and identity, and we want to help promote independence and choice.

They have their own lounge and kitchenette. Teenagers can order takeaways here or eat in the main lounge.

Did you know that the bathrooms in this wing have special tracking and the baths allow for a spa, shower or bubble bath? For many of our young people, having a bath can be very difficult. Here at Chestnut Tree House, bath time can be a private experience or a time for fun and relaxation.

Quote from parent using Chestnut Tree House: 'Emma is a special friend to us- she's our contact staff member, who phones regularly to see how we're getting on. There is always someone to talk to, to off-load concerns, get a different perspective on a problem or just to laugh with. It is difficult to hand your child over to someone else to look after when you care for them yourself for 24 hours a day at home, but I know that the caring, loving staff will try and make everything just right and always be there for us.'
