Reception

Gardens

Chestnut Tree House opened its doors in November 2003 to provide care for children and young people with progressive life limiting and life threatening conditions and their siblings and families.

Families who stay at the house can enjoy rest and relaxation in the peace and quiet of the countryside. The house can be noisy and buzzing place where the children and their siblings have a lot of fun but there are also quiet spaces and areas for contemplation and relaxation.

The Reception is the meeting point where we welcome our families and visitors. Hosted by volunteers, it is the opening into the safe haven of Chestnut Tree House.

Did you know?
Did you know that we currently provide care for 188 children but there are potentially 400 families across Sussex that could use Chestnut Tree House?

'I shall always remember that greeting at the front door, calmness came over me-- I knew this was a special place. I say now, it's as though this huge overcoat of stress and problems had been taken off me. But then, as we went through into another room, laughter and fun hit us, some of the children were making cakes and my two boys just couldn't take in all the excitement around us.'
