Whether you're a parent, pupil, teacher or simply have a connection with a school, why not use your school, nursery or college to support Chestnut Tree House?
Not only will you help to fund our work, but you will also help us raise the awareness of our children's hospice in our local community.
There are all sorts of ways in which your school can fundraise for Chestnut Tree House - whether it's through existing events like school plays, concerts and summer fetes or through new fundraising events and activities. Think about doing something your pupils' will enjoy or something that will help your school achieve it's academic goals. You can organise anything from a non-uniform day (the oldest and the easiest!) to a 'Wi-Fit' challenge!
If you're interested in organising a fundraising event through a school, please get in touch - we'd love to hear from you and find out how we can help. Please call the Fundraising Team on 01903 871820.
• A heart-warming school success story from one of our Community Fundraisers
Last year I went to Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School in Rottingdean and gave an assembly to the pupils. The pupils were really well behaved and asked some fantastic questions afterwards and were really interested in Chestnut Tree House. I then emailed the head, Mrs Prior, to tell her about our Open Days and she attended with three pupils. I gave them a tour and they pledged that they would continue to support Chestnut Tree House. I asked them if they could be my Charity Champions at School and tell all the other pupils about their visit which they happily agreed to do! One of the pupils, Sarah actually won of the raffle prizes from the Open Days and in March I was sent a lovely letter from the pupils.
Dear Chestnut Tree House
As you may know Sarah from Our Lady of Lourdes School won the Snowman raffle you were holding. After visiting Chestnut Tree House, Sarah was inspired to re-raffle her Snowman to our School to raise money for Chestnut Tree House. We are proud to present you a cheque of £100!
Visiting Chestnut Tree House was a great experience, as we were able to see all the lovely surroundings for the children. We both really enjoyed the multi-sensory room, the most, because it had loads of lights and the water bed seemed very comfortable. We have made great friends with Chestnut Tree House and we hope to continue raising money for you. It is a great charity to be involved in.
Yours Faithfully,
Charity Champions Mollie Ricketts and Sarah George
