Radio 2 presenter Chris Evans describes them as 'one of the great live bands' . . . and they're coming to Fontwell Park in West Sussex to help raise money for Chestnut Tree House.

Barnstorming Irish rock band The Saw Doctors will be flying in from Galway to play after the horse-racing on October 2, 2010 thanks to Southern Water.

Last year Southern Water raised a splendid £10,000 for us by organising a Charity Race Day at Fontwell Park. The money came from a variety of activities - including a raffle, auction, race sponsorships and a donation for everyone who paid at the gate on the day.

This year the company is sponsoring a live concert by The Saw Doctors after an afternoon's jump racing, and you can cut £3 off the £20 ticket price by buying a ticket in advance at www.fontwellpark.co.uk. There is also free parking and free admission for those aged 15 and under.

'One of the great live bands' to give fund-raising efforts a tonic,
The Saw Doctors, with three No 1 hits in Ireland, including their 2008 cover of The Sugababes' 'About You Now', are also well known from a multi-million pound advertising campaign for Harp lager. But it is their sparkling live concerts that have brought them international renown and they're bound to attract a big following at Fontwell Park.

Geoff Loader, Southern Water's Director of Communications, is one of the many who is looking forward to The Saw Doctors' return to Fontwell Park. He said: 'It will be great to have The Saw Doctors with us again. They played at our Charity Race Day two years ago when there was a record crowd of 5,000. It will be fantastic if another record crowd enjoy the day this year, especially as a £1 donation is made to charity for everyone who pays on the day to come through the gate on October 2.'
