Education

We believe it is important that we share the knowledge we have acquired in caring for terminally ill patients (since St Barnabas opened thirty years ago).

Our philosophy is that learning should be fun: this helps to create an environment in which participants feel able to make their own contribution and learn not only from lectures but also from feedback on the experiences of others.

Most study days encourage participation and relating the theory taught to the reality of practice. Overall, our aim is to improve the quality and delivery of palliative care wherever it takes place.

Hospice visit

We arrange tours of Chestnut Tree House throughout the year, but their availability and frequency is very much dependent on the care taking place at the house. Read*more*-->
