Take on one of the world’s most iconic trekking trails with Chestnut Tree House. This classic Inca Trail in Peru encompasses three high mountain passes – the highest at 4,200m – as well as hiking through sub-tropical vegetation and cloud forest and summitting snowcapped peaks. The trekking will be tough, but worth it when you reach the unforgettable sight of Machu Picchu.
Get inspired to take part in Chestnut’s Inca Trail Trek by watching the video below, featuring our 15th birthday Patron and participant, Jodie Kidd!
Chestnut Tree House cares for local children with life-shortening conditions – giving them the chance to do all sorts of things that kids love doing. These children and families live in the moment, for the now. When you are facing the greatest of challenges, it’s the smallest of moments that really matter – taking time to relax, knowing your child is safe; splashing in the hydrotherapy pool together; talking to one of the nurses who understands exactly how difficult things are.
So why not challenge yourself and join our team of adventurers? Not only will you be trekking 52km on tough, exhilarating trails, but between you, you’ll be raising enough money to pay for all our care services at the hospice and in families’ own homes for the entire duration of the trip. Along the way, you’ll be creating your own special moments and memories – going out of your comfort zone, traversing peaks and valleys and finally that life-changing moment as you stand with the lost city in your sights.
Join us on this mystical Inca trek and take on the challenge. For yourself. For local children and families. For living. For the Now!
