Volunteering as part of your DofE

Chestnut Tree House cares for children and young adults with progressive life-limiting conditions from Sussex and South East Hampshire.

Our hospice volunteers are absolutely vital to the running of Chestnut Tree House. We certainly could not operate without the generous gift of their time and experience.

As a Duke of Edinburgh Approved Activity Provider we can place you in a voluntary role, giving you the chance to make a difference to people’s lives, help your local community and support your local hospice, all whilst assisting you to complete your volunteer section of the award.

Charity Shop Volunteers Aged 15+

Volunteering at a charity shop is very rewarding. You will be part of a team, will learn new skills and find an outlet for your creative flair or your passion for fashion!

There are many roles that may suit you: customer service, shop display, sorting and prepping stock, serving at the till, administration, cleaning etc. If you are an avid book-worm or like to dabble in antiques/collectibles, we would love to utilise your skills! And whilst you have fun you are also helping to raise vital funds for a worthwhile cause.

We have charity shops in many locations across East and West Sussex.
