Community Fundraiser (Eastbourne)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £22,590 – £25,020

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice in Sussex.  We provide specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions across Sussex and south east Hampshire.

Do you have the passion, drive and enthusiasm to be part of a successful and energetic team working to expand our care services and fundraising across East Sussex?

Primarily covering an area that includes Seaford, Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings, we are looking for a target-driven self-starter to join the team to develop and expand our existing community fundraising activity.

To succeed in this application you will have experience in either fundraising, sales development or account management.  You will be an excellent communicator with well-developed presentation skills.  A can-do approach is vital to help develop relationships and maximise fundraising from the local community.

This role will involve working with volunteers, schools and community groups, so you must enjoy working in varied situations and be able to communicate with a wide range of different people.  You must have a real hunger for helping to grow income and develop new relationships, with flexibility to work independently within a team structure.

If you can inspire, support and motivate people to fundraise for life-limited children in your area, then we’d like to hear from you.

A driving licence and access to a car is needed for this post.  This post will require you to travel around East Sussex and occasionally to Chestnut Tree House in Arundel.  Out of hours and weekend working is all part of this busy role.

Community Nurse West Sussex/Hampshire

Hours: Part time/Full Time
Salary: £29,650 p.a. FTE

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice in Sussex.  We provide specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions across Sussex and south east Hampshire.

We understand that it takes a very special person to care for a life-limited child or young person. Paediatric palliative care is a growing and challenging speciality which will utilise all of your clinical and interpersonal skills. With your breadth of experience and transferable skills, coupled with our support and friendly team, we can help you to succeed.

You will be joining our Community Team at Chestnut Tree House to provide holistic, individualised care and to support children / young people and their families experiencing a life shortening condition within the child / young person’s community environment. We are looking to recruit a paediatric or general nurse preferably with experience of working with children with complex needs and preferably with IV, however, training is available to give you the skills required for this very rewarding role.

Retail Assistant Manager (Havant)

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice in Sussex.  We provide specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions across Sussex and south east Hampshire.

Working alongside and deputising for the Shop Manager, you will be able to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the shop and for providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include: managing stock control and display; supervising volunteers and van crew and ensuring the security of staff and the shop. You must have previous retail experience.
