Charity Canvasser

Chestnut Tree House, near Arundel is the children’s hospice for East & West Sussex and South East Hampshire. We provide specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions across Sussex and South East Hampshire.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals to raise awareness and support for our charity:

  • Are you enthusiastic about the work we do in supporting our local community?
  • Would you like to be part of the wider Chestnut Tree family?
  • Do you enjoy meeting people and enthusing them to get involved?
  • Would you like the potential to earn £25K (OTE)
  • Are you an independent worker with the desire to be your own boss?
  • Do you have a natural talent for sales?

Working within the local community representing Chestnut Tree House, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to promote our work at locations (homes and businesses) across Sussex. You will be part of a fully supported team raising awareness of children’s hospice care as well as encouraging the community to support us by taking part in a weekly £1 per number lottery draw for Chestnut Tree House.

Your approach will be professional and sensitive as our reputation is of paramount importance and to support this you will be fully trained to the standards of the Fundraising Regulator.

You will have excellent communication and customer service skills and an outgoing personality.  You will need to be able to immediately strike up rapport with everyone you meet and ideally have door to door or face to face sales experience. Full training will be provided for all new staff.

An understanding and empathy towards children’s charities will be a distinct advantage and you must feel passionately about the work of hospices. As you are working with us and across the community you will be subject to a DBS disclosure.

In return, you will be rewarded with the opportunity to earn up to £25k and recognised as a valued member of an excellent hard working team, which will include full training and support.

Both part time and full time positions are available on a self-employed contract.

If you are excited by this role and would like to know more or how to apply please contact Alan Maher our Chestnut Tree House, Lottery Manager on 01903 871841 or 01903 871839.
