Thank you for your interest in working for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice. We have a range of jobs available at the hospice and in our charity shops which we regularly have vacancies for, covering East and West Sussex.
Using your well-developed people skills you will help deliver income to the Hospice. You will help to give excellent customer service, assisting in managing a team of staff and volunteers, stock control and daily cash handling/banking. You will also ensure that the staff, volunteers, the shop and the site are safe and secure. You will be energetic and love variety and keeping our shop looking attractive. You will have responsibility for all aspects of the business in the absence of the manager, after full induction training.
As an Assistant Manager, it will be helpful if you have retail and customer service skills, although full training will be given.
The post is based in Billingshurst, but involves regular travel to the Hospices, Retail Distribution Centre and to other shops in Sussex and South East Hampshire. The role may involve managing and supporting in other shops as requested. Own transport may be required.
