Here is why they have chosen to pay for two days of care:
“I invited a representative from Chestnut Tree House to attend one of our team meetings. She presented a truly powerful video which really touched a lot of my team and from that moment we were hooked on trying to support in any way possible. We spent a day volunteering at the house gardening. Being able to see the house first hand had a real impact on us all and from that moment we knew we wanted to do something big!
Chestnut Tree House is celebrating its 15th birthday this year and as a team we decided on raising £10K by completing The Three Peaks Challenge. This involved climbing the highest mountain in Scotland, England and Wales, all within 24 hours. Most of the team hadn’t done anything like this before and it’s fair to say some had never walked more than a couple of miles but with lots of training and preparation we were set for what was to be an emotional rollercoaster of a weekend.
We are all really proud that 27 and 28 September have been named as Barclays’ official Pay for a Day and we can’t wait to come and visit everyone at the house. It will be amazing to know that all your costs are covered for those two days because of what we did over that difficult weekend.” Loren Charlton, Barclays
Everyone at Chestnut Tree House would like to say a most grateful thank you to everyone at Barclays for their generosity and continued support.
