The cost of all care services at Chestnut Tree House on Thursday 6 December have been paid for by Plumpton College.
Principal Jeremy Kerswall said “‘I was invited to attend an open day at Chestnut Tree House after speaking to one of the team at the college’s open day last year. My afternoon spent there was incredibly humbling and powerful, and I was moved to suggest that the college might wish to consider working more closely with Chestnut Tree in the future, not only in terms of fundraising but also in enabling our students to be aware of the incredible and unique work that they do. I was delighted that our Student Union were able to visit and as a result, we decided to arrange the College’s first ever RaG Day, in which the whole college staff and student community would come together to raise funds for such an amazing cause”
We have to raise £6,850 every day to pay for a day of care at Chestnut Tree House, provided at the House and in the children’s own homes. It currently costs over £3.9million each year to provide our care services and families are never charged.
A most grateful thank you from the staff, volunteers, families and children at Chestnut Tree House to Plumpton College for their support.
