Pay for a Day: Barclays

Thursday 26 September 2019

The cost of all care services at Chestnut Tree House for 26 and 27 September 2019 have been paid for by Barclays.

20180921_095159Here is why they have chosen to pay for two days of care:

“I invited a representative from Chestnut Tree House to attend one of our team meetings. She presented a truly powerful video which really touched a lot of my team and from that moment we were hooked on trying to support in any way possible. We spent a day volunteering at the house gardening. Being able to see the house first hand had a real impact on us all and from that moment we knew we wanted to do something big!

Last year we did the Three Peaks Challenge but this year we wanted to go bigger and better to raise even more money. We decided to attempt the Lake District 3000 footers! This involved climbing Scafell Pike, Scafell, Hellvellyn and Skiddaw all in under 16 hours. Eleven of us set out and in pretty terrible conditions we managed to climb all four raising 17k for an incredible charity.

Pay For a Day logoWe are all really proud that the 26th and 27th September have been named as Barclays’ official Pay for a Day and we can’t wait to come and visit everyone at the house. It will be amazing to know that all your costs are covered for those two days because of what we did over that difficult weekend.” Loren Charlton, Barclays

Everyone at Chestnut Tree House would like to say a most grateful thank you to everyone at Barclays for their generosity and continued support.
