Brighton Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice shop promotes charity CD

Friday 13 December 2019

Musician Monty Oxymoron, keyboard player for The Damned since 1996, popped into the London Road charity shop to help promote the charity’s Cheshire Bear CD. He was joined by local artist Pete Webster who did the illustrations and John Henty who wrote the story.

Local broadcaster John Henty, worked for the BBC and created the first Cheshire, the cheese-loving bear story in 2011. John has now produced a sequel CD with the help of Pete Webster, and musicians Captain Sensible and Monty Oxymoron.  The CD is available from all Chestnut Tree House shops and costs £5, with all proceeds going to Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.

Jan Harper, Head of Retail said. “We are very grateful to John, and everyone involved in the making of this CD.  It is a wonderful children’s gift for Christmas and is proving very popular with customers”.

The CD is on sale at all of our Chestnut Tree House shops and details of shops are available on our website www.chestnut-tree-house.org.uk/shops/.   Copies of the CD signed by Monty, Pete and John are available from the Brighton shop at 40 London Road, Brighton.
