A team of twelve from Barclays had planned to climb the Yorkshire Three Peaks in June to raise money for Chestnut Tree House, but had to cancel their plans due to the escalation of COVID-19. Using their imaginations, they decided to continue with their challenge, but instead, climbed the 24 miles using their stairs!
Loren and the team each managed to climb their stairs for a total of 530 times in a day back in May 2020, which equated to climbing the Yorkshire Three Peaks! With the support from their friends, family, colleagues and even some local football players, they managed to smash their target and raised well over enough to pay for a day of all care services at Chestnut Tree House.
Loren Charlton, Business Development Manager at Barclays and Ambassador of Chestnut Tree House says:
“We continue to support Chestnut Tree House because they are an incredible charity. I have been there and seen the work that the staff do and the difference they make to the lives of the children and young people they support.”
£6,850 needs to be raised every single day to pay for all Chestnut Tree House’s care services, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes and, in these unprecedented times is needed more than ever.
From everyone at Chestnut Tree House, thank you so much to the team from Barclays for your continued and generous support.
