To celebrate his 9th birthday, Noah Enchev from Pulborough, has set himself a fundraising challenge. He aims to run 30km throughout February to raise funds for his local children’s hospice, Chestnut Tree House.
The idea came after Noah took part in a virtual football session with Albion in the Community earlier this year. “I met a child who had a disability who showed his football skills and enjoyed himself. I was so impressed by his motivation and strong spirit, I felt very emotional after that” says 9-year-old Noah. “My mum saw me crying and gave me a cuddle on the sofa. After a chat, I decided to try and help other children with illnesses and disabilities to have happier lives and more time with their beloved people and activities they love doing.”
“I decided to support Chestnut Tree House because I would like to help the children and their families spend as much time together as possible. I hope that by running 30km in February I will be able to raise enough money to make this happen” says Noah.
So far, Noah has completed 19km out of his 30km target and raised an incredible £430 for local children who need hospice care. “I am so very grateful to my family, my friends, my parents’ colleagues and everyone else who has donated.”
