Steyning Food & Drink Festival supports Chestnut Tree House

Businesses and individuals in Steyning and the surrounding areas have put together a host of special offers, charity dishes, and events for the 2021 Steyning & District Food & Drink Festival, to support this year’s festival charity, Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.

The festival, now in its 10th year, is taking place from 29 August – 2 October and is jam-packed with events to suit everyone. Kicking off on Sunday 29 August with the first charity event, an open garden with refreshments at Saffrons in Steyning, the events diary includes a range of events and activities, from an open garden and refreshments, a coffee and cake morning at Springwells, a Spanish evening at the Castle Inn, to a black-tie charity dinner and dance at Tottington Manor.

Not only will the festival showcase local produce and bring visitors to the area, it also aims to raise vital funds for Chestnut Tree House. Caroline Roberts-Quigley, Community Fundraiser at Chestnut Tree House, said: “We are so excited and grateful that the Steyning & District Food & Drink Festival has chosen us as their Festival Charity again this year. This is the third year the Festival has supported Chestnut Tree House, raising an incredible £2,600 over the years.

“Without support from local events like this, and people who go above and beyond to fundraise for us, we wouldn’t be able to continue offering vital care to children with life-shortening conditions and their families.”
