1907 lengths of Hastings Pier raises over £2,000

On Saturday 18 June, the team at John Bray, the oldest Estate Agency in Hastings, walked 1907 lengths of Hastings Pier, pushing their current fundraising total for local children’s hospice, Chestnut Tree House over £2,000.

The fundraising challenge was part of the estate agency’s 150th anniversary celebrations, where they have been taking on various fundraising challenges to raise money for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.

“Chestnut Tree House is a charity close to our hearts at John Bray estate agents,” says Colin  “Members of the hospice team joined us on our ‘Walk the Pier’ challenge, as well as some members of the public. It was a hot day, but between us, we walked an incredible 1907 lengths of the pier!

“John Bray was founded in 1872 so the business is 150 years old this year, which is why we set ourselves a target to raise £1,872 during 2022. We’re delighted to have already exceeded this goal and hope to raise as much as possible for Chestnut Tree House before the end of the year.”
