Our Board of Trustees are all volunteers. They are responsible for the governance of the charity, overseeing and guiding the work of the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team.
Ruth Taylor has worked in the NHS for 45 years as both a Registered General and Children’s Trained Nurse. She has an Msc in nursing. Her career has been based primarily in London and before retirement from full time work she was a Divisional Director of Nursing at one of the London teaching hospitals.
Her expertise in particular is in children’s care and safeguarding. More recently she has provided nursing advice for capital projects, and also worked as a specialist advisor for the CQC.
Ruth is married, loves gardening and runs an allotment. She also enjoys Scottish country dancing and entertaining. Ruth has always believed in the philosophy of the hospice movement to ensure that children and adults receive the best care and death possible, and has always wished to be involved.
