Our Board of Trustees are all volunteers. They are responsible for the governance of the charity, overseeing and guiding the work of the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team.
Tony was a paediatric plastic and reconstructive surgeon for 28 years, retiring from clinical practice in 2007.
Tony has previously been a Trustee of the Roy Kinnear Trust and has made several trips to the Pacific Islands with the Australian Government Interplast Programme.
On the Board of Trustees Tony has a particular interest in the quality of care provided and the strategic direction of the organisation.
When asked why he wanted to become a Trustee of St Barnabas Hospices, Tony said: “I feel that having been an NHS doctor, dealing with children and the terminally ill, I can contribute to the continuing high standards in all aspects of care provided by both St Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House”.
