Britpop therapy

Britpop therapy is back for the summer!

What is Britpop Therapy?

Britpop therapy is run by our own Joe Cleaver (Family Counsellor) who’ll be providing therapeutic holding, guitar skills and rhythm based games. Catered to the needs of all. Open to all levels of musical abilities and physical or sensory experiences. It’s open to everyone – Children, young people and adults!

Check out Joe’s blog to get to know what BritPop therapy is.

When you book your session you’ll be asked to choose from the three different options to direct what kind of session you’d like:

  • Music appreciation – no music skill required, sessions tailored to your needs and what you fancy doing on the day.
  • Drum tuition –  Lessons on the drums, suitable for beginners.
  • Music influenced therapy –  mindfully make music together or individually.

About the sessions:

  • Joe will be at all sessions, and other members of the Child and Family Support Team will also be present at some sessions.
  • Sessions can be 1-1, for any child/young person or parent/carer. Or you can choose to bring the whole family along!
  • All sessions will take place in The Music Room at the House, but some sessions might be moved to the Studio if necessary to allow for more quite in the Stars bereavement suite.
  • Once you’ve booked your spot we’ll be in touch to confirm your place.
