Gift Aid is a government scheme that promotes charitable giving. It enables charities like Chestnut Tree House Hospice to reclaim basic rate tax on every pound donated by UK taxpayers.
We are able to reclaim 25p in every £1 you donate, plus, for every £10 you raise through sponsorship we could get an extra £2.50.
Increase your donation at no extra cost to you. If you are a UK taxpayer we can claim Gift Aid on your donations if you pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax that is at least equal to the amount of tax that we will reclaim on your donation for that tax year.
We can even claim Gift Aid retrospectively, so if you are a supporter of Chestnut Tree House and have donated in the past, but have not yet completed a Gift Aid declaration, we can claim back the tax on all donations made in the last 4 years. It will also cover all future eligible donations, unless you tell us otherwise. Find our Gift Aid Declaration form in the Download section of this page.
