Every year, hundreds of you show your support by kindly donating Easter eggs to Chestnut Tree House for local children and families. But this year is different.
We are always overwhelmed by this generosity, but this year, Chestnut Tree House is unable to accept donations of Easter eggs or other confectionery. This is due to the safety measures we have put in place to protect our children, their families, our volunteers and staff during the COVID-19 outbreak.
It’s been a tough year for many people, and we are so grateful for your continued support. If you are in the position to do so, we would like to ask you to consider an alternative to giving Easter eggs.
There will always be room for some chocolate at Chestnut Tree House, but due to dietary and medical needs, many of the children and young people we care for can’t actually enjoy eating chocolate Easter Eggs. By making a donation, you will help make memories for all our families this Easter, and throughout the year.
A £5 donation would help children and families who know they don’t have long together have some egg-cellent Easter fun this year.
For those visiting us at the House it might mean a messy arts session, fun with baking or an Easter trail around the woodland walk. And those at home will receive a tailored activity pack to enjoy as a family.
