  • Route: 1 mile course around Preston Park
  • Registration fee: Free to enter
  • Age category: Anyone aged 7 – 17 years

On a visit to Chestnut Tree House, children with life-threatening illnesses can be astronauts for the day in the multi-sensory room, they discover creepy crawlies on a woodland walk, or form their very own pop group in the music room!

Just by signing up, you’re doing something amazing, and there are lots of ways you can support us with your mini mile run:

  • When you sign up you can make a donation directly to Chestnut Tree House
  • Start a JustGiving page and let all your family and friends know that you are taking part, so they can sponsor you
  • Encourage your friends to sign up as well, the more the merrier
  • Tell your school or any local clubs that you belong to all about the Mini Mile

Support local children and families who don’t have long together have the chance to live life to the full and say goodbye in the way that is right for them.

could pay for a fun hour of activities for a child, including treasure hunts, baking or crazy foam messy play!

could pay for a session with a family counsellor, offering emotional support for siblings and parents/carers

could give a family of four an overnight stay at Chestnut Tree House – a rare chance to relax as a family
