Due to the escalation of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Castle Night Trek has been postponed to 24 April 2021.
UPDATE 18 JUNE 2020
Due to the ongoing situation around COVID-19 and the current social distancing measures in place we have taken the difficult decision to postpone Castle Night Trek until 2021.
We have had to make several tough decisions over the last few weeks, both in terms of care services and fundraising activities – the wellbeing of our patients, families, supporters, staff and volunteers is always at the forefront of every decision we make.
The response to Castle Night Trek was incredible and we were really looking forward to trekking the night away. In light of the current social distancing measures in place, and with no clear understanding at present of how things will look later in the year, we feel that we cannot go ahead with the event in September 2020.
We want to thank you for continuing to support your local children’s hospice and we know that you will be disappointed that you are unable to see Castle Night Trek come to life this year, as are we.
But we really hope that you will be able to join us next year on Saturday 24 April for Castle Night Trek 2021. If you have already signed up, thank you! We will automatically defer your place to next year so you don’t have to do anything. You should have already received an email from us, if not please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org
We are still open for registrations for next year so please tell your friends and family. We will be back bigger and better next year!
Castle Night Trek is a 10k sponsored trek through the stunning grounds of Herstmonceux Castle.
Taking part in Castle Night Trek is a great way for you to help local families who know they don’t have long together. Any money you raise helps make a difference and we are here for you every step of the way to make it a great success.
Your registration fee covers the cost of participating in the event, all we ask is that you raise as much sponsorship money as you can to help local children and their families. Your trek will help them make precious memories together and help parents through the difficult time of saying goodbye. Please have a look at our Fundraising pack for lots of ideas on how to raise sponsorship on your trek.
