Hit the Downs MTB

Hit the Downs is our annual new off-road cycling event. With options of a 30 km or 60 km route across the South Downs raising vital funds for Chestnut Tree House.

In the last three years over 1300 cyclists have taken on our epic off-road cycling challenge Hit the Downs MTB and now we are back again with a brand new start / finish venue and routes for 2019.

Take on the rolling South Downs Way whilst raising money for local life-limited children cared for by Chestnut Tree House.

The undulating course will test riders with its multitude of tricky climbs and rapid downhill descents. Whether you choose to take on the cool 30 km route or challenge yourself with the epic 60 km route you are guaranteed a thrilling day in the saddle.

Whether you are a seasoned cyclist or relatively new to two wheels, we will provide professional support on the day to help see you through to the finish line! Help Chestnut Tree House achieve our goal of reaching every life-limited child in Sussex whilst taking in some amazing views along the way.

Did you know, studies have shown that riding a bicycle everyday makes you more awesome than the general population.

Registration for Hit the Downs MTB 2020 will open in January.

Registration includes chip timing, refreshment en route, a souvenir medal, mechanical on the day support and pre-event training rides.

Registration closes two weeks before the ride and we are unable to take on the day registrations.
