Due to the escalation of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the London Marathon has been postponed from 26 April until 4 October 2020. We’d like to thank our Team Chestnut runners for their support, especially at this difficult time, and for making every step count for children with life-shortening conditions and their families in Sussex.
We completely understand why the decision was taken to postpone the London Marathon. The preparation needed for running events like this by the participants who signed up to take part for Chestnut Tree House should not be underestimated. We would like to thank all our Team Chestnut runners for their support and hope to see them on the rescheduled date in October.
All runners due to take part in the London Marathon should have received official communications from the event organisers. But, if you were due to run for us and have any queries, please get in touch with our events team: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your support. We will keep you informed with updates from the organisers, as well as more dates for summer training runs.
Whether a marathon is your next step, or the thought of 26.2 miles seems like an impossible mission, the buzz around this event is like no other. The incredible atmosphere on race day is one to remember and you will get to experience the iconic sights of our capital. Starting in the beautiful Greenwich Park you’ll run past Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and the Cutty Sark on your way to glory at Pall Mall.
The London Marathon really is an experience that will live with you forever, we’re here to support you all the way to that famous finish line.
