South West Coast 50 Challenge

Join other adventurers to walk, jog or run this challenge across the rolling Exmoor hills. Choose from a 25km or 50km distance both options with amazing views. On 6 August.

A new challenge for 2022 in the South West, covering some of the stunning Coastal Path. Start off at base camp at Dunster Castle, and choose to walk either a 25km route or 50km route across the rolling hills and beautiful scenery of Exmoor.

25km Challenge: Registration fee £10 | Fundraising target £250 (full fundraising options below)

50km Challenge – Dunster / Minehead Loop (50km): Registration fee £20 | Fundraising target £395

More details about The South West Coast 50 Challenge
  1. If you’re feeling up to the challenge, register now on the Ultra Challenge website.
  2. When you sign up you’ll be asked what sponsorship option you want to choose. Select ‘Option 2 – Sponsorship for charity’ or ‘Option 3 – Mixed Fundraising for Charity’ if you want to raise money for us.
  3. You’ll have the opportunity to select which charity you’re fundraising for – and you can select Chestnut Tree House under the ‘Other charity’ option.
  4. Get in touch with us once you’re done and we will send you a bespoke fundraising pac

Charity Sponsorship–you pay a small registration fee, do lots of fundraising and we cover the cost of your event place!

  • 25km: Registration fee £10 / fundraising target £250
  • 50km: Registration fee £20 / fundraising target £395

Mixed Funding–pay half of the event place cost yourself, fundraise a bit less and we pay the balance of the event place cost.

  • 25km: Registration fee £45 / fundraising target £135
  • 50km: Registration fee £72.50 / fundraising target £218

Self Fund–you pay the full cost of the event place-fundraise whatever you want, with no set target or deadline, and there’s no cost at all to the charity! 25km: £79 50km: £129

50km Challenge – Dunster / Minehead Loop (50km): Registration fee £20 | Fundraising target £395

You can choose to take on the Full Challenge (50km) or the Half Challenge (25km). Both routes take in the first Minehead section of the stunning Coastal Path to the shadows of the impressive Dunster Castle. The Full Challenge then heads over Exmoor to see the magnificant views.

There’s a Saturday night celebration BBQ and camping ‘festival-style’ options at our base camp. Your entry includes free food and drink at regular rest stops, plus support  including medics, marshals and massage. Cross the line with style- with free fizz, t-shirt and medal to celebrate your amazing achievement.
