This is a challenging trek across the ever changing terrain of the desert . There’s lots of tricky descents and steep inclines and you’ll be required to walk for up to 8 hours in one day in very hot temperatures. We highly recommend you undergo training to make sure your endurance and fitness levels are up to the trek.

We recognise that an overseas trek has implications for our carbon footprint, and have chosen to work with Global Adventures to bring you this trek because of their commitment to battle climate change. For every person who takes on the challenge, Global Adventures will be planting 15 trees. You can read more about their commitment to climate care and responsible tourism on their website.

If you have any questions about how to fundraise, or need any help – get in touch with our friendly and experienced events team.

If you have a question about the trip, make sure to read Global Adventure’s FAQS, and you can contact them directly if needed.

Why your fundraising is important

At just six weeks old, Tiger-Lily was fitted with a tracheostomy after doctors discovered she had a condition which means she stops breathing as soon as she falls asleep and needs constant supervision. The condition is so rare that it’s thought to only affect 100 families in the UK. It’s been a journey the whole family never expected to go on. With the support of Chestnut Tree House they live life to the full and enjoy every moment with their cheeky, sociable and fun-loving little girl.

How your sponsorship makes all the difference

could give a child a 24-hour stay at the House; relaxing, getting messy & having fun while complex medical needs are taken care of.

could pay for 10 nurses to support families following the death of their child, helping them to say their final goodbyes.
