There are so many ways you can get involved and support Chestnut Tree House

Do you want to draw a snowman?

The Snowman™ is celebrating 40 magical years and we’re calling for children to get inspired by the iconic character and draw or paint a spectacular snowman picture for our special competition.

First published in 1978, Raymond Briggs’s original much-loved picture book, The Snowman™ is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. We are helping the iconic and much loved character get into the party spirit by celebrating our long-standing relationship with The Snowman™ and his creator, Raymond Briggs CBE, this winter.

As part of this, we are inviting children aged 4-12 years, living in Sussex or South East Hampshire, to get inspired by The Snowman™ and create their own spectacular snowman picture for our children’s drawing competition.

Entries will be judged by a panel in two age categories (4-8 years and 9-12 years) and there will be one winner in each category.

Top tips:

  • Use A4 paper or card
  • Feature a snowman in your design – you can include more than one if you like!
  • Use pencils, crayons, felt tips or paints
  • Any writing needs to be clear and neat

Guest judge: Raymond Briggs CBE, Chestnut Tree House Patron and creator of The Snowman™

Entry deadline: Tuesday 27 November 2018

Winners will be notified early December and invited to Chestnut Tree House on Friday 14 December to receive their prizes from The Snowman™.
