Information about our services for patients and families. Our care services
At Chestnut Tree House we are always keen to build long term relationships with schools and colleges, helping young people learn about the importance of the hospice care services we provide and at the same time inspiring them to make a difference.
Are you a parent, a pupil or a teacher, or do you have a connection with your local school? We would love to work together with you!
We aim to build long and meaningful relationships with our local schools, which not only help us to fund our vital work, but which also empower children and young people to engage with their community and make a real difference through their education.
We’d love to visit your school to tell pupils more about the work of Chestnut Tree House, either through an assembly, or a workshop. Our specially trained staff will tailor their talk to their audience, and ensure everyone gains a much more in-depth knowledge of what Chestnut Tree House does. To book in an assembly with us, give us a call on the details below, or complete this form.
If you have a fundraising idea for your school or nursery, please contact us to chat about it. Or maybe some of these ideas will get your brain ticking…
Everyone – of all ages and abilities – is invited to take part in Superhero Friday, and it’s simple to get involved. All you need to do is dream up your very own superhero themed challenge and help raise vital funds for children who need hospice care. Find out more and sign up here!
This December we are looking for schools and groups of all sorts to have some Reindeer Fun! Everyone taking part will receive reindeer antlers and a red nose! All we ask is that you have lots of fun and raise as much sponsorship as you possibly can. Find out more and sign up here!
Could your school host a Teddy Bears Picnic in aid of Chestnut Tree House to help raise vital funds and awareness of the work we do?
All you need to do is pick your date, choose where you’d like to hold your picnic, and ask everyone to come along with their favourite teddy bear and a small donation. Every penny you raise will help to make a difference.
If we give your school £50, will you make it grow? We are looking for schools to take part in our £50 Challenge for Chestnut Tree House, whilst developing essential skills in business and entrepreneurship in a practical, fun and innovative way. Find out more and sign up here!
Hold a mufti day, hold collections and/or a raffle at school concerts and plays, or have a special fundraising stall at Summer and Christmas fetes.
