Cricket Match

Date: Thursday 30 August
Time: shifts between 11am-6pm
Location: Sussex County Cricket Ground, Hove

Are you a cricket fan? We are looking for volunteers to help with various tasks throughout the day, including umpiring/scoring low level cricket matches.

National Speed Trials

Date: Saturday 1 September
Time: 9am-12:30pm, 12:30pm-6pm
Location: Madeira Drive, Brighton

We’re looking for volunteers to help us with an awareness stall, fundraising games and bucket collections. We are also in need of an extra special volunteer to be our squirrel mascot and for someone to be their mascot minder!

Ragnar Relay Run

Date: 22 and 23 September
Time: Various shifts from early morning to late evening
Venue: Along the route from Eastbourne to Brighton

We need volunteers to be marshals and part of our cheer team

VW Camper Van Run

Date: Saturday 6 October
Time: 9am-12:30pm, 12:30pm-4pm
Location: finish on Madeira Drive, Brighton

We need some help with bucket collections, running an awareness stall and clearing down after the event.

Snowman Spectacular Ball

Date: Saturday 1 December
Time: Shifts available between noon to 5pm, and 6pm to 2am
Location: Metropole Hotel, Brighton

We need volunteers to help prepare the venue, and help with fundraising games and activities.

Be our Squirrel Mascot!

We are looking for a squirrel mascot volunteer, someone who would love to wear a squirrel suit to promote us! NB the suit may be heavy.

We are also looking for a ‘minder’ for the mascot, to ensure they are safe and in the right place.

These roles would be on an ad hoc basis, weekday or weekends, daytime or evenings.

Collecting Box coordinators

Time: Weekly commitment of 2 hours max
Location: Areas that need volunteers include – Chichester, Horsham, Crawley, Brighton, Hove, Lewes, Uckfield, Heathfield, Hastings,  Crowborough

We need volunteers to help in your local community to collect and place collecting tins in pubs, cafes and shops. On average a tin contains £50 worth of donations – every tin counts!

Promotional Stand Volunteers

Time: Week days or Weekends
Location: As required

We need volunteers to help visit locations to promote our events by talking and handing out leaflets such as: ‘Night To Remember’, ‘Hit the Downs’ and ‘Littlehampton 10k Run’.

Friends Group for Chestnut Tree House

Time: It is up to you, flexibility is one of the great parts of this role.
Location:Particularly in East Sussex

Could you and your friends be a super fundraising friend to Chestnut Tree House? Could you coordinate a range of fundraising events throughout the year (typically around 2 or 3) and act as a true ambassador for your local children’s hospice service?
