Healthcare Professionals

Maintaining our standards of care

We are dedicated to maintaining our standards of care. Our healthcare professionals provide families within the children’s hospice with opportunities to feedback on their experience, which is of the utmost importance to us.

As an independent hospice we are regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

The Care Quality Commission requires us to appoint a senior manager as our ‘Registered Manager’, who we call our Director of Children’s Services.

Each year the Care Quality Commission undertakes an on-site inspection of the services we provide. Read our latest Regulatory Assessment Statement.

We ask our families to provide feedback on our services. This helps us to understand what people who use the service think about the way support is provided and enables us to improve the way that we work.

We also produce a Quality Account, where the quality of services is measured by looking at safety, effectiveness and families feedback about the care provided.

Statement of Purpose

Every year we also publish a Statement of Purpose (found in the Downloads section of this page) providing details on:

• Our company details and numbers

• Our aims and objectives

• Our management structure

• Team staff numbers

It is part of our registration requirement that we make this information available to you and it should be read in conjunction with our patient handbook (found below).
