Bank Cook

Hours: Variable
Salary: £9.12 per hour

Chestnut Tree House, near Arundel, is the children’s hospice for East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire. We provide specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions across Sussex and South East Hampshire.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Bank Cook to join our friendly team at Chestnut Tree House on a casual basis as and when is required.

You will be responsible for food preparation, general catering and cleaning duties within the kitchen and around the house. You will need to be able to work independently whilst remaining part of the wider catering team.

Good communication skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines is essential. You will also need to have the flexibility to cover for staff absences during the week, weekends & evenings.

The successful candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience of working in a catering environment along with a basic food hygiene certificate.

An enhanced DBS will be sought, if you are successful in this role.
