Bank Practice Development Nurse

Hours: Flexible Hours
Salary: £19.08 per hour (£37,220 FTE)

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire providing specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

We have an exciting new opportunity for an individual who is passionate about helping plan and deliver training to clinical staff at Chestnut Tree House.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering teaching sessions to groups of staff nurses and care support workers
  • Organising training days, developing presentations and resources to assist in delivering teaching
  • Assist in the development and review of the Chestnut Tree House competency framework

The successful candidate will have experience of providing care to children and young people within palliative care. You will need to have experience in delivering teaching to small and larger audiences and have experience of competency assessment. You will need to demonstrate strong continuing professional development. Achievement of a degree is desirable. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to develop and motivate members of the team.
