Thank you for your interest in working for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice. We have a range of jobs available at the hospice and in our charity shops which we regularly have vacancies for, covering East and West Sussex.

St Barnabas Hospices offers specialist palliative care through two hospices: St Barnabas House adult hospice in Worthing and Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice near Arundel in Sussex.
The team look after all supporter enquiries, including responses to appeals, and our supporter database. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Fundraising Services Apprentice to support the team with a variety of tasks. This is an ideal apprenticeship as a first job and would suit someone looking for admin work, with an interest in customer service and data. Reporting to the Database Executive you will need to be enthusiastic, confident, and well organised. You will have a friendly communication style and be happy to work on varied tasks. We need you to be a stickler for detail and have an approachable personality.
This apprentice role is important for the team, it is at the centre of our Fundraising service and the first port of call for our supporters.
Applicants will need to be able to develop a high level of IT literacy, ideally with some previous administration experience but this is not essential for the right candidate. You will be given training on the job and a chance to join a growing and ambitious team. The is a perfect first step into a career in fundraising.
The apprenticeship duration is for 24 months and you must have GCSE English & Maths at Level 4 or above /or equivalent. You will gain a Level 3 Apprenticeship Diploma Award in Business Administration on completion of the full apprenticeship with Chichester College Group.
