Catering Assistant - Bank

Hours

Various shift patterns available – 8am – 1.30pm, 9am – 2pm, 2pm – 7pm

Salary

£10.90 per hour plus enhancements for weekends and bank holidays

About the role

Your duties will include –

• Temperature recording
• Putting away deliveries
• Working to deadlines under your own initiative without direct supervision
• Having a flexible, team-orientated approach
• Washing up
• To undertake general cleaning duties as directed by the Chef Manager
• To help maintain kitchen, cooking areas, storeroom and kitchen equipment in a clean and safe condition
• Prepare food such as salads/sandwiches/vegetables under the guidance of the cook
• Cater for dietary and allergy requirements
• Mandatory training modules and company Food Hygiene Training must be completed

We’re looking for people who have a flexible, team-orientated approach and who are comfortable working in the hospice environment. Food Hygiene Level 2 and/or previous experience of catering in a care environment would be preferred.

Due to the remote location and lack of public transport, access to your own transport is essential.
