Hours

37.5 per week (minimum of 22.5 considered)

Salary

£36,872 – £38,665 (depending on depth and variety of experience in a similar role)

Plus, up to £1,000 welcome payment (subject to T&Cs)

About the role

This is an exciting time to join our clinical team whilst we are undergoing expansion, service transformation and development. We’re investing in a wide range or roles within the clinical team to support our work with children, young people and families. This role will be based at the Eastbourne office, with travel over Sussex.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and passionate nurses to provide Children / Young People (CYP’s) palliative care working in the hospice community team. Children’s palliative care involves delivering short respite breaks aimed at having fun and ‘adding life’ to shortened years as well as end of life care and care after death. You will be part of a multi disciplinary team including nurses, nursing associates, health care assistants, activities coordinators and a child and family support team.  The role will involve some evening and weekend visits and will also involves working as a 24/7 rota when providing end of life care in the community.

We have a mixture of adult, learning disability and paediatric nurses working in the care team and value all the different skills that nurses bring. You do not need to have experience of working in palliative care or paediatrics as we offer a comprehensive development and preceptorship programme along with inhouse training which can be delivered to support staff to achieve clinical skills and confidence.
