Digital Service Engineer volunteer

What’s the role?

Help out our IT Team with the task of Asset Tagging all IT equipment in the organisation. This role is perfect for anyone looking to build their IT skills, gaining knowledge about laptops and tablets – or it would also benefit those looking for a future career in IT.

You’ll be working alongside an enthusiastic IT team and meeting loads of people who work in the background but play a vital role in the running of the hospices.

When will I volunteer?

We’re looking for someone to commit to 7.5 hours (Monday – Friday, flexible days) for approx. 2 months

Frequently asked questions

No previous experience needed, but we’d love for you to have:

  • Great communication skills
  • Some IT skills are advantageous but not necessary
  • A willingness to learn

Does this sound like you?

  • Understand the importance of confidentiality
  • Any personal grief resolved and not be a service user now or in the past 6-months.
  • Willing to undertake statutory  and mandatory training (provided by us)
  • Able to provide a COVID-19 Pass for volunteering on site at the hospice
