Warehouse assistants

We're looking for volunteers to help at our Distribution Centre, located on Northbrook Road, Worthing, which is where we sort and distribute all donations of stock.

What’s the role?

Due to a large amount of generous donations from the local community, we’re in need of more people to help with sorting the items in order for them to be sent out to the shops.

What will I be doing?

Helping with a range of duties such as separating items by item type, checking their quality and picking stock out of storage for distribution to the shops across Sussex and south-east Hampshire.

When will I volunteer?

We’re asking for:

  • Availability on weekdays for a minimum of two hours each session
  • A commitment of: either weekly or on an infrequent basis

Frequently asked questions

No previous experience needed!

All we ask for is a willingness to learn. You’ll also be provided with training on warehouse standards and how to operate any equipment.

Some of the skills you’ll learn will be:

  • how to use a hand press appliance
  • how to work on your own and as part of our team
  • insight into how a large retail warehouse operates
