Chichester’s LEAP Create joins trek for children’s hospice care

South Downs Trek, a marathon or half marathon-length walk through beautiful Sussex countryside on 30 September, is the perfect challenge to embrace as part of a team. LEAP Create is a Chichester-based communications agency that works on creative campaigns and websites for national and international organisations. Nine of their staff will be tackling the half marathon route, raising funds for children’s hospice Chestnut Tree House.

“Part of our strategy was to support more local charities,” says managing director Sara MacGregor. “We all voted for our favourites, and Chestnut Tree House was the one we all wanted to support. We have a great working culture here at LEAP Create and we’re very people-first. Raising money for charity and doing good for others all encourages a sense of fulfillment, which is why we believe this challenge would be great for our team.

There will be a group of nine and this is the company’s first major fundraising challenge. “At the moment, we’re training individually,” says Sara. “But I think we’re going to start doing some walks around Chichester on our lunch breaks. There are so many beautiful places on our doorstep.

On the day, Sara says she’s anticipating “a lot of encouragement and a lot of laughs. We’ve already decided that we’re taking loads of snacks!”
