About us

COVID-19 information

We’re closely monitoring the situation concerning the COVID-19 virus. We are in regular contact with Public Health England and the NHS. We will provide updates as and when information changes.

Visiting the hospice

We’re doing everything we can to limit the risk to children, families, and staff. Thank you for following safe visiting guidance.

  • Face coverings must be worn at the hospice. When you arrive you’ll be issued with a disposable surgical mask by a member of staff.
  • We recommend that you maintain good hand hygiene while at the hospice, for instance washing hands regularly and using hand gel when possible.
  • Please don’t visit the hospice if you have symptoms of COVID-19, tested positive for COVID-19 or been in contact with someone who has tested positive.
  • Please maintain social distancing throughout your visit when possible.

Fundraising

Small teams of canvassers are fundraising door-to-door and in pre-booked venues. We have carried out full risk assessments in line with the government guidelines and will continue to closely monitor the situation.

Shops

In our shops: It’s now personal choice, but continuing to wear a face mask and maintain a safe social distance helps protect our customers, staff and volunteers. If you’ve organised a house clearance or furniture pick up: Please let us know in advance if you, or anyone in your household, are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, so that we can rearrange your collection or delivery.

Find a charity shop or read our full shop FAQs.

Volunteering

The majority of our hospice-based volunteering roles are still suspended. However you can volunteer in our shops, warehouse and at events.

All volunteer roles can be found here

Events

Register to one of our events with confidence with our COVID-19 promise. You can find out more about our COVID-19 promise on the event pages.
