How are children hospices funded?

Families are never charged for their care, and all our services are free of charge.

We need over £5million every year to provide hospice care for local children and their families, with only a small amount of this coming from government funding. The rest – around £10,000 per day – comes from donations, fundraising, gifts in wills, charity shops and the Chestnut Tree House lottery. Without your incredible help we wouldn’t be able to continue to support children with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses.

You're making a real impact to peoples' lives

“If you’re thinking about fundraising for your local children’s hospice, then all I can say is thank you. Because of you, so many families like us have a lifeline. They have a break, and having a break isn’t a normal part of life for families like us. Because of you, we are not always in hospital surrounded by machines, we are somewhere that feels like home. And that is massive.”
