The Brighton Marathon is back on Sunday 2 April 2023. Whether you’re looking to finish your first marathon, are pushing for a personal best, or just love the thrill of live runs, the Brighton Marathon’s buzzing atmosphere will keep you moving the whole way round.

Registration fee – £25 | Minimum sponsorship – £500

All information below is for 2022. As soon as the information for 2023 is available we’ll update our website. As event day gets closer, we’ll also update you on where we’ll be around the course, how to find us in the charity village, and good spots on route for your supporters to cheer you on.

Brighton Marathon 2023 road closures: Road closures go from 5:30am to 4:00pm. Full details will be ready late 2022.

Getting your Brighton Marathon race number: You’ll need to collect your race pack and race number from the Event Village on the Friday or Saturday ahead of the event.

Brighton Marathon route map

With an stunning seaside backdrop, Brighton is home to one of the best marathons in the UK. You can get an idea of the route by looking at the 2021 route map.

From Preston Park you’ll hit the seafront and head out to Ovingdean, before coming back through the city to the Power Station. Rejoining the promenade at Hove, it’s a flat run to the finish on Madeira Drive.
