The Brighton Marathon is back on Sunday 7 April 2024. Whether you’re looking to finish your first marathon, are pushing for a personal best, or just love the thrill of live runs, the Brighton Marathon’s buzzing atmosphere will keep you moving the whole way round.

From the start line buzz in picturesque Preston Park to the finish line ecstasy along Brighton's stunning seafront, the Brighton Marathon will carry you through the vibrant city streets and across the panoramic vista of Ovingdean cliffs for a run you'll never forget.

You need to be 18 years old on race day to take part in the Marathon, but don’t worry if you’re not able to race – you can always join in the Mini Mile Race at Preston Park.

Brighton Marathon route map

With a stunning seaside backdrop, Brighton is home to one of the best marathons in the UK.

From Preston Park you’ll hit the seafront and head out to Ovingdean, before coming back through the city to the Portslade. Re-joining the promenade at Hove, it’s a flat run to the finish on Madeira Drive.
