Pay for a Day

Give a day or night of support and love to those needing hospice care

Why Pay for a Day?

Every day at Chestnut Tree House is a special day where something wonderful happens.

The day you pay for could be the day a child comes to stay with us for the very first time. It might be the day a child paints a picture for their parents for the first time. Or, of course, it may be a family’s last day together, supported by our nursing team. Whichever day you choose will be a unique day that will create memories for the children and families who are with us.

How do I Pay for a Day?

Over £6 million is needed every year for us to provide hospice care for local children, young people and their families. Only a small proportion of this comes from central government. The rest comes from donations, fundraising, gifts in wills, our charity shops and the Chestnut Tree House lottery.

Your donation of £8,120 can support local children’s hospice care for a whole day or night.

Roger and Maureen Kelly

We’d like to thank Roger and Maureen Kelly for paying for a day of care at Chestnut Tree House. Here’s why they’ve chosen 17 August 2024:

‘We’re paying for a day at the wonderful Chestnut Tree House to mark our wedding anniversary. We continue to support the wonderful work carried out by Chestnut Tree House. Being essentially self funding, with little help from the state, they need all the help that business and the public can provide

We’d like to say thank you to Roger and Maureen for their generosity and continued support. We have to raise £15,000 every day to pay for a day of care at Chestnut Tree House provided at the house and in the children’s own homes.

Image of Zoe having fun at the houseIt’s a special day here at Chestnut Tree House. All our care services today have been paid for by the family of Zoe, a much loved member of the Chestnut family.

Gemma, Zoe’s mum, said: “We wanted to raise the money as Chestnut Tree House has given us so many happy memories over the years and Zoe absolutely loved it there.

“Zoe was always in the art area creating something, or in the pool! She also loved a shopping trip with the staff. Chestnut are still supporting us now and I don’t know where we would be without them.”

We’d like to say a big thank you to Zoe’s family for choosing to support us this way – their donation helps us continue providing care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
